Passports are obtained through a collaboration between the US Department of State and local registrars that allows the public to apply and obtain a United States passport. Strict rules and regulations govern the application process and local registrars shall follow the U.S. Passport Manual provided by the Department of State.
This committee was established to be a sounding board for local registrars and offer options of ways to handle situations and various passport issues.
